I love my dad. He makes me smile.
My mom has been out of town for two weeks. She left two Sundays ago for youth camp. Because she is the senior pastor's assistant and he goes to camp, so does Mom. She arrived home late late that Thursday. Dad was very glad to have her home. That Friday, I dropped Ethan off at their house and asked Mom when she left for Michigan (for my cousin's graduation). She replied, "Sunday at 7:30 and I'm gone all week."
Needless to say, my dad was not ready for Mom to leave again. But she did. Now she is in Chicago and due arrive home late tomorrow night. Dad couldn't wait. He called me last night to see if I could find him a flight to Chicago. He was going to go to the rest of the conference with Mom and the group she is with from church.
I got online and found a ticket for him. Purchased it. Emailed him a confirmation. Then I called to say, "You might want to call Lacey and tell her to come home to help you get check-in." But he thought he would try.
My dad hates computers. He does not hate many things. Computers he does. He signed on and then called me to walk him through the process. I'm trying to say-okay dad, look at the top of the screen. There's box. Type www....
So, he finally got to the website but couldn't check-in. After 10 minutes of trying to choose a seat I finally told him just to go to the ticket counter in the morning. So he did. I think he was just so excited to go see my mom that it no longer mattered how he got checked in.
As we were on the phone, Brian said, "Wish I were going." To which I replied, "It's a 12 hour drive back!" And my dad said, "Yeah, but I'm with Mom."
I love my dad.

Yeah, I had two migraines last week, which was pretty awful.
Bryan is doing pretty well on WW, besides miscalculating his points. The best thing so far has been that we are both aware of how much we're eating, what's in the food, etc., instead of just blindly eating junk.
Your parents are so cute!
I don't know all of them, but I do know they're stopping in the region of Mexico where Bryan and I went for our honeymoon. Lucky ducks.
