Brian and I are still getting used to sharing cars. Generally, whoever has the baby, takes the car with a/c. Yesterday, Brian was getting ready to leave in my car and handed me the key to his car. He asked me to take it home and put it in his basket. I forgot. I told him I would.
This morning I drove to work in my car with no a/c. Arrived at work and got a call. I still had Brian's key in my purse with me and he needed to take Ethan to swim lessons. So I got back in my hot car, drove home. I called Brian about a mile from the house to say get ready, I'm almost there. He then informed me that he and Ethan just decided to walk to the pool.
I arrived at home, got in his car and drove to the pool. Ethan was completely distracted with me there. I decided I would leave, but how to get home? So I walked. In my skirt and flip-flops. Fortunately, the pool is only about a half-mile from our house. Once I arrived home, sweaty, I got in my non air conditioned car and drove back to work.
Thank the Lord the office has cold air!
We are still working on getting my car fixed. I got a call from the man who looked at it on Saturday. Apparantly, Saturn does not sell the part I need alone. In order to get the coil you have to buy the clutch and to get the cluth you must buy a new compressor. FUN! The good news is he found one for $250 which is still better than $1400!! He said it would take a few days to come in or I could get one today from another place for $400. I told him I could wait.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows arrives this weekend. I received a confirmation email from Borders today giving details abotu the activities and party on Friday night. I'm thinking about bringing some Butterbeer and Treacle Fudge. No joke!
I finished rereading the 6th book last night. I had forgotten so much. Now that I have I don't know if I can wait to read the 7th book at camp. I figured that would be the easiest time to read it with all the free-time we'll have. The more I think about it, the more I'm considering getting a babysitter all day on Saturday. I need someone who is not a Harry Potter fan. That eliminates several sitters already. Hmph. Plus it's my dad's birthday.
