We had a great time last night going to see Harry Potter. Deborah, Brian and I met at 10:00 to get in line. At that point the line was not too long. There were 4 teenage girls carrying around their iPods playing Harry Potter songs. I've not heard any of the songs before but judging by the lyrics they were about Harry Potter. The were dressed in their capes and witch hats and kept us entertained for awhile.
Three auditoriums were showing the movie, two of them on the side where we were waiting. The first auditorium's line started to move and they filed in. Our line stood up and all squished closer together, too close, thinking we'd move any second. We didn't. So we stood up close and personal, not to mention hot and sweaty, with those in line with us. A group of about 8 people found someone, Conner (who was with us), and tried to act like they finally found us. I could feel my ears getting red. The guy in front of us was mad. The mom behind us was even more mad. So when it came down to going in, Deborah and I said NO WAY JOSE!
We found seats and Deborah's Bryan joined us. The movie started and everyone cheered. It really was a good movie. I am usually disappointed in the movies because I like the books so much. The 5th book has always been my favorite and the movie got all the needed plot points. Of course, if I made the movie it would be 5 hours long!
Not too much longer till the last book. Next Saturday. Borders. Midnight. I'm there.
