Have I ever told you I hate when people touch my stuff without asking?

I haven't posted in a while. Mostly because I have been too tired to think straight. I have a ton of things I could post about but rather than post a novel, I'll save my brain the headache.

Does your boss ever go through your desk?

Mine does.

Drives. Me. CRAZY.

She only does it after I leave for the day. It's one of the bad things about not working until 5:00pm. There are not many bad things but that tops the list.

My desk at work is much like my kitchen counter. It's cluttered. It's messy. But when I need the garlic powder, I know where it is.

This morning, for example, I arrived at my desk. Being a Monday it took me a minute to realize it was not as I left it. I do a ton of things in the office. I take care of all the invoicing. I book all of the promotions. I compose and send email from her handwritten responses. I scan and send all headshots to be printed. I could continue to go on.

My desk is not a big space. It is in the corner and I do not have much desktop to use. I have a file cabinet. I used it for about a week. Then I started forgetting that I had work to do stored in there. That was bad. Now it holds blank cd's and extra diapers.

I have a tower of stackable shelves. I use them but no one else does.

ANYWAY.

I came in, my desk was different. I started my day checking emails and working on pending bookings. WAIT! Where is that booking? I NEED IT! Where did it go?

So I yelled at Don, "I HATE WHEN SHE TOUCHES MY DESK!" who smiled and he helped me find it.

One day, she'll come in and I'll have completely rearranged her desk. I really will. And she'll be pissed.

I guess Don tried to stop her yesterday. He pointed out that her desk was more cluttered than mine. To which she replied, "But I know where everything is!"

UGH! So do I. So I spent my morning recluttering my desk so I can find things.

See you tomorrow.
