This week has been busy busy busy. Ethan's birthday is creeping up on me. I have done absolutely no planning whatsoever. I'm just hoping he won't remember the pitiful party his mom threw for him when he turned two.
Actually, my grandma and I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and look what I found...

YES! A Pablo cake pan. So, she bought it for me. I went home and started reading how they frosted the cake. I'm sure you can't tell, so let me enlarge the photo...

Can you see? It is frosted with white icing THEN using a specific star shaped piping tool individual stars cover the cake.
Step 1: Have patience
I am trying to come up with a good way to frost this thing with out spending the entire day. Because really, I do NOT have the patience for that. I mean, I've got a ton of catching up to do with my DVR!
If I do indeed make this cake I'm going to post pictures. For no other reason than to say I DID IT! We'll see.
Happy Grey's Day!!

I have actually done a few of these cakes and they are tough, but definitely do-able. My suggestion is to ice the cake with the base icing, put it in the fridge for a bit to let it cool, then do the stars. If you have a couple of icing bags, I would start from the top or the bottom, then work your way up or down. Your hand will start cramping long before you are done, but if you can take the time and if you have the patience, it will turn out really nice. Good Luck!
