The boy, he is very observant

I arrived home from a baby shower last night to a boy with his hands in the air, high above his head saying, "Yea! Yea! Mama's home!"

He then quickly shifted gears, ran to a box on the floor and said, "Open it! Open it!"

Yesterday we were at Ross and found a small table from the movie Cars. We love Cars at our house. Especially "Maynard" (Mater) and "Ki KaKeen" (Lightning McQueen). Ethan had found the box and desperately wanted it opened. So I opened it and put the box in the trash.

I took out all three parts, attached both legs, snapped it into place and it was done. Ethan jumped on the couch and pulled the table close. Then he said, "I NEED CHIPS!"

At first I thought he must just be hungry. And he yelled again, "I NEED CHIPS!"

So I told him he could have some pretzels and proceeded to the kitchen. As I glanced at the box in the kitchen, I saw this:

Do you see? Come closer...

Just a little closer...

There they are. The chips. The little boy on the box is eating chips. Ethan puts two and two together and figures out this is a chip-eating-table. Or in his case pretzel. Wait until he learns it can also be a coloring table and a stopdrivingyourcarsacrossthetvandputthemonyourtable table.
