I had my second doctor's visit today. One thing that I loved about my last doctor and now my new doctor is that I get an ultrasound at every visit. It's amazing to see the difference 4 weeks makes. Here is a picture of our little person.
It's amazing how different this pregnancy is from the first. Or maybe I remember the first differently. A few differences:
- I am much more sick this go around. I have two prescriptions that help a ton. I don't always feel great but they keep me from throwing up. I was never sick enough to "need" a prescription with Ethan.
- I've missed several days of work due to morning sickness. I didn't miss any work with Ethan except for doctor's visits.
- I've missed several mornings of practice. I don't remember missing anything the last time. But I was also the only coach at that point so I had to suck it up.
- I've felt so miserable I have verbally told several people to remind me of this the next time I think I want a child.
- I do not want to eat popsicles or ice cream. I would not have survived my first trimester with Ethan without popsicles.
Things that are the same:
- Cooking raw hamburger meat grosses me out.
- The thought of shrimp makes me want to vomit.
- I'm exhausted.
- I go to bed early.
- I nap A LOT.
Several people, including my doctor, have commented that maybe the differences mean it's a girl. We'll see- but not until January. That's going to be a long wait.
Have a great Thursday!

I can't figure out how to get my ultrasound pictures on my blog. I guess I could scan them?
Hello, new little McGuire! I'm so excited for you, Lauren. Miss you!
My pregnancy was a lot different with this baby. We thought it was a boy, but nope! Maybe you will get a girl this time!
