We had a great time at Disney World this year. The girls did well at Nationals, which was the reason for the trip, and we had fun at the parks, which was the biggest perk!
We started on Friday morning. I woke Ethan at 4:45am. It was my intention to let him sleep but somehow changing clothes always wakes him. In hindsight, I should have let him sleep in something to wear on the plane. He did fine waking that early especially since we were driving to the airport to ride a plane. He loves planes.
After a few scowls at the girls (from Ethan- not me), we checked in and walked to security. All was fine and dandy until he had to take his shoes off. There was no reasoning with him as to why the shoes had to come off. As soon as we got through security and the shoes were back on, he calmed down.
Our flights were easy, lay-overs timed perfectly, and we arrived safely at the Orlando airport. We were greeted by my mom, Bobba (grandma), Papa John (grandpa) and Doda (my great aunt). They took us to lunch before dropping us off at our resort. It worked out great because I got to see them, at least for a hour or two, and they were keeping Ethan a few nights for us while the Highsteppers were competing.
As soon as we got back to the resort, Brian and I headed to Epcot. I had pastries from France on my mind!
We walked half-way around the globe before Brian said, "I hate to be a party pooper, but I'm exhausted and my feet hurt." (our luggage had not arrived at the hotel so all he had was flip-flops) OH, THANK GOD! I was thinking the same thing but was trying not to be a whiner about being pregnant and walking and feet swelling, blah blah blah. We took a few pictures and went back to the hotel.

Saturday morning we loaded the bus at 6:30am to go to Nationals at University of Central Florida...which, by the way, it a BEAUTIFUL campus! It was a very long day and there was some drama along the way (that's a story for another day) but in the end they did a fabulous job. We saw the best performances we've seen from them all year. Finally!
They ended up with 1st in lyrical (which they won by .5 points), 2nd in both modern and kick (there were some really good kick routines!) and 4th in jazz (losing 3rd by .5 points).
Sunday morning, Mom and Dad brought Ethan to our hotel and the fun began...

Okay, you're making me look really bad now. We went to Disney weeks before you did and you're already posting. Geesh! Glad you had fun. Can't wait to hear about Ethan's time. :)
Yeah! I'm glad you had a good time and the girls did well. How did the officers do?
Cheri- It was my evil plan all along. I figured if I posted then you would too...and I really wanted to hear about your trip! :)
Deb- Officers didn't place in anything. Their best performance was jazz. They were competing against officer groups of 12 and 13. The competition was tough for officer but they shouldn't have won anyway. Jessie was the only officer to not mess up at all in any routine!
Lauren- oh well for the officers, at least the team did great!
And I love, love, love Zumba. I 100% recommend it.
You look great! So glad sweet Emma is growing nicely and her girl cousins in Nashville can't wait to have a big Bane reunion so they can play together! Thanks for your comments on my blog and hopefully we will see you sometime this summer... love & hugs!
Looks like you guys had fun! I would love to go back to DW sometime. I haven't been in probably 15 years! Ok, I could not even tell you were pregnant either....where is that belly? You look great! I love the name Emma Grace. Will you call her emma or emma grace? I know you are anxious to meet her. We are anxious to meet lil anna kate. I am feeling good, just big and uncomfortable! I go to the doc again on Tues. so hopefully I will progress a lot before then! We will see....
