Here's a brief wrap-up of the last few days for us...
Friday, Deb and I had a great time at officer camp. We took the girls to Purple Glaze, a paint your own ceramics place. It was lots of fun. I am going to pick up our creations today. Our outing was followed by ice cream, then candy, lots of games and giggles. Most of the giggles were from me and Deborah and then the girls laughing AT us. HA!
Uncle Paul is in town and wanted to go to church with Brian and me. Life has a campus in Tennessee, just outside of Nashville, where he lives. We had a good time and I think he really enjoyed it.
After an afternoon nap (much needed after a sleep deprived and sugary Friday and Saturday), we went to Old Navy to purchase our family tees. Every year I tell myself to get them sooner than later. One day, I'll learn. We also went to Rockets Over Rhema. The fireworks show was beautiful and Ethan really liked it. Fortunately, the rain cooled off the heat so it wasn't too bad. That's about the only good thing about this rain.
Ethan is sporting one of his 4th of July tees today. Last year I bought 2 on the clearance rack at Wal-Mart on July 5th. Thankfully, he still fits in the 18 month size I purchased. Old Navy does not make is size in their family 4th of July tees. It saddens me.
Tomorrow we haven't decided what we are doing. I am hoping whatever it is, fireworks are included.
