As Ethan gets older he is talking more and more. At this point in time he adds at least one word a day to his vocabulary. Sometimes it's hard to understand his language but as a mom it's just something I understand.
He says some things very clearly and audibly. For instance, last night at our first football game he cheered for his Uncle Ben. He would scream, "GO BEN!" and clap. Other cheers in his vocabulary include "Yay Yay Yay!" and "YAHOO!"
Ethan also has a new fascination with The Lion King. It sounds more like "Wions" but I know what he means. He watches it on the portable dvd player. We've tried to teach him not to touch the buttons. Last week he had on the dvd and Brian adjusted the screen. Ethan scolded him, "No Daddy, NO TOUSH!"
Last night as he and I were sitting on the couch he took my hand. He looked at me, tilted his little head and smiled. Then as he spoke in his sweet voice he said, "Bite Mama's hand?" And tried to bite me! The stinker. Of course I couldn't help but laugh at him and told him he could not bite Mama's hand. Biting was not nice and it hurts.
Sometimes he too smart for his own good. And I will sleep easier knowing I have taught him the manners to ASK if he can bite BEFORE he does. Hope those kids at school can say no!

The girls are doing a lot of babble talk right now. Maddie is quite the chatterbox. I just love to hear the new sounds she makes every day. We had physical therapy this morning and she came running in from the hallway, stopped, and started saying "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Then smiled. Of course we cracked up, so she proceeded to do it over and over again, each time waiting for our expected response. They are so much smarter than we give them credit for sometimes. :)
