Tasty Tuesday: Hot Ryes

Per Katie's request, here is the recipe for my Hot Ryes appetizers.

I cannot take credit for this recipe. I got it from my mom who got it from her friend, Connie.
Ingredients:
1 loaf dark rye bread
2 cups shredded swiss cheese
12 strips of crispy bacon, chopped
1/2 cup chopped black olives
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
pepper to taste
mayonnaise as needed
Preheat oven to 375*.
Cut bread into square, bite size pieces. Line a cookie sheet with foil and place bread on it.
In a mixing bowl, combine cheese, bacon, olives, powders and pepper. Add a spoonful of mayo to mixture. Continue to add mayo as needed- just enough for the cheese mixture to stick together. Top each piece of bread with a spoonful of cheese mixture. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted well.
Serve immediately.
