Our Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. We started with our traditional Christmas Eve dinner with my in-laws. We used to go to The Olive Garden for dinner and then a movie...then came Ethan. Movies get harder to go see unless they are intended fo children. We didn't think he'd sit through Four Christmases so we skipped the movie again this year.

Santa stopped by Gram's house early for Ethan. He dropped off a few Spiderman things in cluding a new sleeping bag.

Aunt Paigie gave Ethan Hungry, Hungry Hippos. We had a great time playing. Ethan is actually very good...until he starts cheating.

After our game Ethan felt the need to try out his sleeping bag. Somehow he convinced Aunt Paigie to get in too.

Christmas morning we always spend at our house. Just the 3 of us. Ethan opens his gift from Santa first. This year Santa left him a Batcave for all of his Batman toys. He immediately looked up, toward the North Pole, and said, "Thanks Santa!"

He's recently started smiling like his Aunt Lacey did when she was little. Face pointed towards the camera but eyes looking anywhere else. I like it.

After Santa gifts we open our gifts from Brian's mom and step-dad. Aunt Ashley sent Ethan a puzzle with his name on it. He loves to put it together.

He also got a robe from Grandma Vicki and Papa Rick. He loves it.

Brian and I had decided not to spend too much on Ethan this year. With a new baby coming and a trip to Disney in March we didn't want to go overboard. What we did go overboard on are Batman toys. Fortunately they aren't too expensive.

I like to pretend Brian's favorite gift came from me. It may very well be but I didn't ask for sure. I bought him a Richard Petty Driving School Ride-Along pass good at the track of his choices. They were running an AMAZING special.

Ethan also received Little Rascals.

I had already gotten my Christmas gift.
(My new camera which I found on Black Friday)
But Brian got a gift for me...well, mostly for Emma but I got to open it.

For the rest of the morning we lounged around. Took naps. Played with the Batcave.

Then we headed to my parent's house for dinner and gifts. Our traditional steak dinner. YUM!
Ethan got a Spiderman cap from Mimi and Papa. Along with many other things!
We had a great day and I hope you did too!
