Well, I made some progress in Emma's room over the weekend. Actually, a lot of progress. Mom came over on Friday afternoon to help me clear the room. I couldn't have done it without her! I need someone there to motivate me.
(Side note: Brian was very sick all weekend. What was a cold moved into his chest. We spent Saturday morning at an urgent care and had a great doctor there. Ethan and I filled prescriptions, made soup and tried to baby Daddy as much as possible. Fortunately, Aunt Paigie was in town and offered to keep Ethan for a few hours on Saturday.)
Saturday, Mom and Dad showed up with rollers and paintbrushes to paint. Mom and I taped off the stripes and Dad started cutting in the top half of the room. My neighbor came over to help out too. By Saturday, we had one coat on and by Sunday afternoon I had done the 2nd coat. (Luckily, only the bottom half, which is darker, needed a 2nd coat. It took me about 20 minutes.)
Here are a few pictures. Now I need to retape the stripe and paint it bright white, wait for it to dry and tape off the area for a yellow stripe and green stripe. It's going to be adorable when it's all finished.
